ABOUT VASANTHA UTSAVAM
A festival of Music & Dance
What began as intimate chamber concerts among like-minded lovers of Indian classical music has evolved into a meaningful cultural movement. From these humble beginnings emerged Vasantha Utsavam—conceived not merely as a festival, but as a living bridge between India’s timeless artistic traditions and future generations. Vasantha Utsavam is an annual celebration of Indian art and culture, held in the UAE under the esteemed patronage of the Consulate General of India, Dubai. Founded by three brothers from a family deeply rooted in music, the festival is guided by the values of love, peace, and harmony, expressed through the enduring traditions of Indian classical music and dance.
The festival presents a carefully curated programme of performances, workshops, and demonstrations by eminent and widely respected artistes from India and abroad, alongside emerging local talent. In addition, Vasantha Utsavam periodically engages in cross-cultural and cross-country collaborations, bringing Indian classical artistes together with Arab performers on a shared platform as well. These artistic exchanges foster meaningful cultural dialogue and play an important role in familiarising Indian art forms among audiences of diverse nationalities, while encouraging mutual appreciation and understanding.
Spanning generations, Vasantha Utsavam celebrates the depth and diversity of Indian heritage, with performers ranging in age from 4 to 81. Since its inception, the festival has presented approximately 300 artistes spanning multiple generations, offering a platform to both emerging talent and seasoned performers. Deeply rooted in the classical traditions of India, the festival is committed to preserving, celebrating, and passing forward cultural heritage. It provides a nurturing and inclusive platform where young artistes and students are encouraged to perform independently, build confidence, and develop a lifelong connection with the classical arts.
Through this continuing journey, Vasantha Utsavam seeks to inspire pride, continuity, and a sense of responsibility—ensuring that the beauty, discipline, and values of India’s classical traditions continue to flourish and resonate meaningfully in a global context.

Our Initial steps towards our Vision & Mission

  • Conduct a yearly music & dance festival – VASANTHA UTSAVAM. "Vasantha Utsavam" is a Sanskrit word which means "Spring season Festival
  • Regular concerts, workshops / lecture demonstrations by eminent artists.
  • To bring well known musicians in the field of Carnatic music from India for performance that would enthrall, educate & spiritually elevate us with their divine music.
